Spatial Development Framework (SDF) and Land Use Management System (LUMS):
Macroplan have now completed 7 SPLUMA LUMS and SDF projects and are currently working on 1 SPLUMA alignment project of a similar nature, since the enactment of the act in July 2015, which include the following:
LUMS of 2015
1. Completed: The compilation of the //Khara Hais Local Municipality’s Land Use Management System to be one of the first Municipalities in South Africa to successfully implement a new LUMS in accordance with SPLUMA.
LUMS of 2015
2. Completed: The compilation of the Tsantsabane Local Municipality Land Use Management System in order for another Municipality in the Northern Cape Province to follow the example of //Khara Hais and become a leader in legislative compliance.
SDF amendment of 2016
3. Completed: The amendment of the !Kheis Local Municipality’s SDF, which was again one of the first Municipalities to complete this process under the SPLUMA legislation.
SDF during 2017/2018
4. Completed: The amendment of the Dawid Kruiper all-inclusive SDF during 2017/2018, combining the 2 SPLUMA processes of a SDF and a LUMS in one and adhering to all legislative processes.

5. Completed: The compilation of the Dawid Kruiper all-inclusive LUMS during 2017/2018, combining the 2 SPLUMA processes of SDF and LUMS in one and adhering to all legislative processes.
SDF review 2018/2019
6. Completed:
The review and updating of the Kgatelopele SDF (SDF review 2018/2019) for the 2018-2019 year.
LUMS 2018/2019
7. Completed: The updating of the Land Use Management Scheme (LUMS 2018/2019) of Kgatelopele for the 2018-2019 year.

8. In process of compilation: The updating and alignment of the Land Use Management System (LUMS 2018/2019) for the Khâi-Ma Local Municipality for the 2018/2019 year.
